Our History

Since 1950s

At Utley Properties, our motto is “A Real Estate Tradition” because spanning three generations; we have helped shape the real estate industry in the Mid-South. The company began in the 1950’s with Walter A. Utley developing 33 recreational-resort communities in seventeen states.

In the 1980s Mark D. Utley led the company into commercial real estate and mortgage banking.

Mark D. Utley, Jr. is a Senior at the University of Memphis, and is majoring in real estate. He is already active with Utley Properties doing market research and Geographic Information Systems.

Today Utley Properties is involved in general contracting, real estate development, brokerage of retail, office, and land. We are now starting two new companies: Hidden Treasures retail stores, and Solar-Green Building Services.
