Our History

Since 1950s

At Utley Properties, our motto is “A Real Estate Tradition” because spanning three generations; we have helped shape the real estate industry in the Mid-South. The company began in the 1950’s with Walter A. Utley developing 33 recreational-resort communities in seventeen states.

In the 1980s Mark D. Utley led the company into commercial real estate and mortgage banking.

Ashley Utley, is a graduate of the University of Alabama, where she earned a Bachelors degree in Telecommunication and Film with a concentration in Media Marketing and a minor in Business.  She is now working for Utley Properties as the Director of Business Development.

Today Utley Properties is involved in general contracting, real estate development, brokerage of retail, office, and land as well as Build-To-Suits.
